Gregory Mikkelson resigns “over university’s refusal to divest from fossil fuels”

Gregory Mikkelson, professor of philosophy at McGill University, resigned after the announcement by the Board of Governors, on December 5th 2019, that investments in fossil fuels will be maintained despite the opposition of McGill’s Senate and other representative bodies, notably student’s. Gregory Mikkelson’s resignation will take effect on February 1, 2020.
