Winner of the Julien Hivon Scholarship
The GRÉEA is glad to announce that the winner of the Julien Hivon Scholarship in animal ethics is Stephanie Eccles, PhD student at Concordia University in the Department of Geography, Urban and Environment Studies.
Stephanie Eccles is doing her PhD under the supervision of Sarah Turner (Concordia University). Her research project is entitled “A Multispecies Ethnography of Farmed Animals: Sanctuaries as Sites of Constructing Transformative Knowledge and Relations” and will analyze human-animal relationships in animal sanctuaries from an ethnographic and ethical perspective.
